Winter is coming has come! Normally we’ll head to Mt Donna Buang, but this time we want to take Poppy (our Pug). So after a bit of googling, I discovered Mount Maraget (half way between Marysville & Buxton (maps link), this hidden gem is amazing.

Another weekend and another trip, though this one was for longer than a weekend!
We went to Perth for 11 days, 4 of which we spent down south in the Margaret River region. Margaret river is one of my most favourite places there are, to me it’s the perfect mix of beach, forest & fun. There are so many things to do, see and eat regardless of your interests and budgets.
We picked up a little Airbnb and travelled around by car. Continue reading “Margaret River, Western Australia”
What better thing to do on a long weekend than a road trip from Melbourne to Adelaide. It was nice to be able to get away for a small break and see some new scenery.
We left Melbourne after work and proceeded towards Horsham, which was to be our destination for the night. The following morning we left bright and early in the fog (that reminded me of silent hill) with our destination as Hahndorf for lunch.

Melbourne was starting to get a little bit chilly, so why not have a trip up to the lovely Gold Coast, QLD! Ash & I went up for a few days for a bit of getaway and did some exploring along the way. Continue reading “Gold Coast & Byron”
We found an amazing new place to take Poppy for a walk today. I was looking for somewhere closeby (it’s been a weekend full of driving). Fortunately I found Warrandyte River reserve and it’s only 10 minutes from home!
A Thousand Blessings Cafe in Richmond has to be one of my favourite Acai bowls in Melbourne. It has an amazing texture and the fruit over the top is always fresh and seasonal.
There are lots of delicious raw treats too! Last but not least it is dog friendly and across the road there is an off leash dog park (Citizens Park).
I highly recommend it! Let me know what you think.

For the last 8 months or so I’ve been studying Astronomy at Swinburne. As luck would have it there is a volunteer run observatory here in Melbourne at Mount Burnett.

Yes! Finally, a cafe which is for you and your puppy! It only opened in August. Located in Collingwood, this cute place is perfect.
There is food for your dog – Ice Creams, Dogcino’s, raw treats, dog popcorn – the list goes on! Continue reading “Dog House Cafe Collingwood”
Today we had another cool little adventure, after going into school to sort some things for Term 4. We went for a road trip to Sylvan and Olinda Forest.
It’s a beautiful drive there and only around 1hour from the CBD, making it perfect for a day trip.
