Winter is coming has come! Normally we’ll head to Mt Donna Buang, but this time we want to take Poppy (our Pug). So after a bit of googling, I discovered Mount Maraget (half way between Marysville & Buxton (maps link), this hidden gem is amazing.
From our place, it is an easy 1.5-hour drive. Then all of a sudden there is snow!
I’ll let the photos speak for themselves but; it’s dog-friendly and there are a lot fewer people than Mt Donna (we only saw 1 other person). We got up there around 11 am and went for a nice little walk.
We didn’t require any car chains, and I only have a little Hyundai i20, so don’t let having a small car be an excuse not to go!
